Kerala State Lottery Department will announce the winners of the Karuna Lottery on January 30 at 3.00 pm.
Those who have purchased tickets can check their results on keralalotteryresult.net. First prize winner of Kerala State Lottery ‘Karunya KR-484’ will get Rs 80 lakhs. The second prize winner will get Rs 5 lakh and the third prize winner will get Rs 1 lakh. The winner of the consolation prize will receive Rs 8,000.
The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh prize winners will get Rs 5,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 respectively. Kerala established India’s first lottery department in 1967. The department released its first lottery ticket on 1 November that year. The first prize money for a ticket worth 1 rupee was Rs 50,000. The first draw took place on 26 January 1968.
Winners have to claim the win in the lottery department within 30 days of the declaration of the result by the winner. The winner has to claim the prize from the director of lottery department in case the amount is more than 20 lakhs.
