Huaico in Punta Hermosa: despair in the station due to the flooding of the streets after the activation of the creek

The ace heavy rain due to the passage of Cyclone Yaku near the coasts of the country have wreaked havoc in different districts of Lima. After activating a flow in the Punta Hermosa neighborhood a large accumulation of earth, mud and water runs through the main streets of the spa resort to the mouth of the sea.

Neighbors, however, placed sandbags in various locations around the neighborhood; couldn’t stop the strong current of muddy water who entered some homes, sports complexes and common areas. In social networks you can see some images of the overflow of the ravine.

Given the intensity of the landslide, the authorities have asked residents to avoid approaching the area, as the risk of being swept away by the current of muddy water is great.
