Guatemala fell 5-3 and failed to qualify for the semi-finals

The United States prevailed in the quarter-final of match 4 of the 2023 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship, played on Tuesday, with two goals from Keyrol Figueroa. The goals of the match for the locals were scored by Olger Escobar (45′ 1T, penalty), Gabino Vásquez (6′ 2T) and Carlos Aguilar (28′ 2T). While the away goals were scored by Brain Carmona Romero (6′ 1T), Keyrol Figueroa (27′ 1T and 7′ 2T), Aiden Harangi (5′ 2T) and Taha Habroune (37′ 2T).

Keyrol Figueroa rocked the stadium with his definition in the 27th minute of the first leg. In an individual game, the attacker took the ball on the left and, from the large area, finished the ball at the goalkeeper’s right post.

Carmona Romero’s brain was also important. The USA striker scored 1 goal, touched the opposite goal 3 times and made 9 correct passes.

Defender Carlos Aguilar of Guatemala asked defender Aiden Harangi of the United States to dance and gave him a pipe 48 minutes into the second leg.

With a dirty game, the match played between the two teams stood out. There were several warned: Kevin Illescas, Christian Díaz, Duran Ferree and Micah Burton.

The judge selected for the match at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores stadium was Víctor Cáceres Hernández.

With this victory, the United States qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.
