According to the World Economic Forum’s 2022 report, at the rate we are going, it will take more than 130 years to close the gender gap. It also indicates that among women employed in public or private positions, only 33% hold managerial positions. Given these data, one thing is clear: there is still a long way to go despite all the efforts that have been made to give visibility to the problem.
Making visible is a good step to inspire new generations and change behavior; but, judging by the statistics and the reality that we see on a daily basis, it is not enough. To transform the context, we must go further. We have to be systematic and precise on the subject, focusing on what we do and how we do it because it does not bring tangible results.

The way we make decisions is the result of our cognitive biases and also, of course, the learned biases of our family upbringing, culture and religion, which we grew up with into adulthood. Now, can we change these prejudices? Maybe not. Can we make different decisions? Surely yes, if we are able to recognize behaviors and avoid them, expanding our ability to innovate and, therefore, to change the reality around us.

We navigate in an increasingly complex world, which requires all our talent to find solutions to problems that we would never have imagined; having, at the same time, technological tools that we never imagined we had.
The moment challenges us: do we seriously believe that we will be able to find them with half of the population excluded from the decision-making tables?
