The coronavirus covid-19 does not give truce in France, where in the last 24 hours it caused 314 deaths in hospitals and 29,975 infections and hospital pressure continues to rise, while the president, Emmanuel Macron, receives his scientific committee before adopting new measures to contain the pandemic.

The health authorities also updated the numbers of deaths in residences, 94 since last Friday, which places the total of deaths in France since the pandemic began at 91,170, while infections reached 4,108,108.

Hospital pressure continues to be very high, with 25,492 beds occupied, 23 more than the day before, after 2,005 admissions in the last 24 hours, 329 more than the previous day.

Especially delicate is the situation in intensive care, where there are 4,239 patients, 20 more, after having registered 435 admissions in one day.

The Executive looks with a magnifying glass on the situation in the Paris region, where the incidence per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days is close to 419 patients.

Hospital pressure in that region is high, with 5,861 admitted patients, of which 1,164 are in intensive care.

The French Government began last weekend the transfer of patients from the Paris region to hospitals in other less affected territories, a device that will be increased in the coming days.

Macron consults with his Scientific Council and with intensive care doctors to learn first-hand about the situation and possible measures to slow the advance of the pandemic.

Tomorrow the president will meet his Defense Council, which brings together the members of the Government most affected by the pandemic, to analyze the measures.

The media assure that the Executive can increase restrictions in the Paris region by imposing a lockdown on weekends, similar to the one already decreed in the department of Pas de Calais, in the north of the country, and on the coast of Nice, on the coast Mediterranean.

In the rest of the country the closure of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues and the curfew at 6:00 p.m.
