A small plane carrying 22 people, including a three-member crew, disappeared in the mountains of western Nepal on Sunday morning, authorities said.
The Twin Otter plane, belonging to Tara Air, was flying to Jomsom in the Mustang district, Sudarshan Badtaula, spokesman for Yeti Airlines, Tara’s sister company, told Efe.
The plane lost contact with aviation traffic officers around 9:55 am, minutes after it took off from Pokhara, Nepal’s tourist capital that is home to a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit.
