The wonder of Euroflora in the Parks and Museums of Nervi returns to Genoa from 23 April to 8 May 2022 with the innovative format inaugurated in 2018 which combines a place of extraordinary botanical, landscape and artistic interest with the quality of the best horticultural production and charm of the creativity of gardeners, designers and flower composers. It will be an edition more than ever in support of the sector, recently recognized again internationally by AIPH, which will be able to count on important collaborations such as those of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Policies, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the ICE Agency, which will bring buyers from foreign markets, from the National Nursery Exporting Association and the Italian Flower Nursery Association to Genoa.

From a cultural point of view, alongside the permanent collections of modern and déco art on display in the Nervi museums, this year the music of the Carlo Felice Theater will debut during Euroflora, with a calendar of events within the Parks conceived to enhance the union between the great classical compositions and the rarities on display.

The event, born in 1966 and now in its twelfth edition, is organized by Porto Antico di Genova SpA, promoted by the Municipality of Genoa, in collaboration with the Liguria Region and the Genoa Chamber of Commerce. The contribution of trade associations and associated companies of the Municipality is strategic, primarily ASTer Genova, which follows the event in all its phases, together with AMT and AMIU.

Large sequences of streams and fountains, large oval spaces will combine with the evocative views of the Parks to offer visitors exciting perspectives with rare essences, unique specimens, extraordinary collections and excellent productions developed on 86 thousand square meters and an expanded system of routes that crosses historic gardens and villas overlooking the sea.

Created by Studio Lavarello, already author of six editions of the event from 1971 to 1996, the project was approved by the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape . It is based on a new geometric configuration principle of the space consisting of large ellipses enriched by circular shapes, designed to design new temporary paths, to integrate the existing ones, and to outline the structure of the exhibition areas. All this enriched by the presence of water as a visual element and noise breakers with 16 fountains.

The Parks of Nervi, in addition to constituting a landscape complex of great value, gather around them a museum center of primary interest, consisting of the Gallery of Modern Art, the Frugone Collections and the Wolfsoniana. To establish an even closer link between flowers, plants and nature, on the one hand, and the world of art, on the other, in the presence of floral compositions inside the Museums, sculptures of ars topiary will be placed side by side in the external areas. certain outdoor areas of the exhibition. The presence of the orchestra and choir of the Carlo Felice Theater has already been defined with a dense program of small concerts in the most evocative corners of the Parks to create an even more magical atmosphere.
