National Route 7 at the height of Paso Cristo Redentor is interrupted by displacements that have been produced by rains that have affected normal circulation.

As reported from Vialidad Nacipnal, the pass continues to be closed by avalanche between km 1189/1178 and work is being done on clearing it for the next few hours.

They also reported that the weather is unstable in the area, isolated showers, 6 ° C.

There are more than 120 trucks waiting to cross, while during the course of this Sunday,  30 people were evacuated by the National Gendarmerie , after  strong storms  that caused avalanches that prevented the passage on National Route No. 7.

There were two avalanches that affected the area, the first 80m long by 3m high, the second 50m long by 2m high.

The Ministry of Security maintains police helicopters upon request, Municipal personnel of Las Heras work with the evacuees, and Civil Defense maintains permanent monitoring of meteorological conditions, together with the Radars of the Directorate of Agriculture and Climatic Contingencies (DAC).
