He fell with a firearm in his hand. The police continue their fight against the crime and organized crime. This time it is a man identified as Miller Leodan Romero Burgos, who was captured by police officers from the Lima Este II division, after a group of residents of the Los Portales human settlement in the Agustino district denounced that they were being threatened by a criminal gang that was pointing firearms at them.

According to Colonel Barboza, head of the aforementioned police division, there were a total of 3 criminals, but two of them managed to escape, managing to capture Romero Burgos who would also have been under the influence of alcohol.

“The subject who was in an apparent state of intoxication did not know how to respond to the situation of the weapon, since he lacks documentation to support his possession”said the colonel.

Along the same lines, the police spokesman added that the hypothesis of the investigation shows that this criminal would be a member of a criminal organization dedicated to land disputes.

“We believe that this subject could have some kind of involvement with a criminal gang dedicated to land disputes; either by providing weapons or actively participating to defend or to intimidate”.

For now, the police continue with the investigations into the actions of this criminal organization and the reasons why this criminal had a firearm in his possession; In addition, it is expected that the security forces can find the whereabouts of the other two subjects who fled from the hands of the police.

Meanwhile, Romero Burgos will be brought before the Public Ministry to be prosecuted for allegedly having committed the crime of illegal possession of weapons.
