through the British Council 100 women from America, Asia and Europe will be able to access Masters in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM in English Science Technology Engineering and Mathematicss, at 21 universities across the UK. The scholarships are part of the Women in Stem program of the international organization in which it is expected that Colombian women access this higher education abroad.
In the case of the Latin America region, quotas have been opened for women from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela who are interested in strengthening their knowledge in these areas so that they apply for scholarships and, in the same way, enrich their curriculum vitae and can continue to work within the STEM.
Regarding the scholarships, the organization pointed out that the beneficiaries will have advantages in “tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel expenses, visa fees and medical expenses. The scholarship also includes the option to include additional support for women with dependent children or family members”.
