Since the early hours of Wednesday, March 15, there have been long lines at Immigration due to an outage in the biometric service at Bogotá’s El Dorado airport.
People point out that due to system failures and long queues, many have lost their flights trying to leave or enter Colombian territory.
Transport Minister Guillermo Reyes said in an interview with snail radio that the problem with the biometrics service has been happening since the night of Tuesday March 14th so there is no way out but to do this procedure manually with the migration staff so people have to go to the cabins so that the entry or exit of the national territory is authorized.
Although work is underway to restore service, people have been asked to arrive at El Dorado airport 4 hours before scheduled trips with the various airlines that operate there.
