CFK turns in his circle: he denies the state of democracy and encourages “fight and return” with an echo of dictatorship

In a brief section of a long speech -focused on the economic picture-, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner make a characterization disturbing on the state of the country’s institutional system and thus broadened the scope interrogation point on its own course. “I believe that today we are not faced with a constitutional democratic state”he said, and repeated the accusation on a mafia alliance between justice and the opposition. He was in line to declare himself an “outlaw”, even if he went further. Are you saying it just to close ranks behind your figure? Bad symptom as decor and more if it was belief, also expressed with striking sides as the journey to the present of the slogan “Fight and return”.

The former president gravitates around her circle – the axis of each exhibition – and worries even the traditional Peronist leaders who have not broken ties with Kirchnerism. They allude to the shock caused by the attack suffered at the beginning of September, at the gates of the department of Recoleta. and to growing anger since the judgment was delivered in December in the Highway case, malaise aggravated at these hours after the dissemination of the foundations signed by the judges of the Federal Oral Court.

Kirchnerism has so far failed to articulate a strong mobilization in favor of CFK, with the dense curtain of internal protest. In any case, he launched a campaign with slogans that were “If they touch Cristina…”even the most recent “Break the ban”. The idea of ​​the “proscription” following the conviction in the public works case – which still has a long way to go until a final conviction – was exposed by the former president herself with the open game with the refusal of an application.

The Kirchnerism movement, at the national level, was not softened by Olivos’ criticism of this sentence, which is defined as an attempt to disqualify the vice president. It does not convince the circle closest to CFK. To the reproaches of the lack of effective gestures is added the insistence of the President with re-electionwhich is strictly speaking a basic attempt to conserve some oxygen in the fourth year of management.

The challenge for Kirchnerism is how to maintain its own plan if its leader does not voice the real stake for the elections. But before that, the former president is determined to hold one’s place of power. In this line can be interpreted all the messages intended for parallel forces between their situation and the history of Peronism in stages of proscription and persecution.

In a way, the synthesis would be the reproduction of the slogan “Fight and Come Back” as a propaganda attempt to generate a certain mystique, especially within Peronism. The echo of the dictatorship seemed obvious and CFK amplified at the end of the week, with a clear decor: “After 40 years of democracy, we are not only without a democratic state, but we are also without a currency”.

The expected reference to the economy was a central element and immediately opened speculation about the recipients. But before that, it was a way of claim with several comparisons of his own presidential efforts and, at the same time, with the pretext of being critical, stop in a place foreign to the current management.

CFK said the main political challenge ahead is to attempt a revision of the agreement with the IMF. He referred to the negotiations he conducted Martin Guzman, continuously crushed by Kirchnerism. It seemed clear that he was not targeting the executor, but to the political decision, that is to say to the president. Of course, he underlined the impact on the economy of the pandemic phase and of the war provoked by Russia by invading Ukraine -he avoided tones of condemnation-, but above all he underlined the Macrista management.

By drawing this image, I actually question the speech of Olivos. “It is true that there is growth and that there are job creations, but they are precarious and have very low wages”, read. And he pointed out that even in the realm of registered work, income are insufficient in the fight against inflation. In the official media, they avoided responses. The distanced and critical look at the economic context was significant. He mostly hit Olivos, almost like a managerial balance, and didn’t seem to break the virtual approval of the economic team’s steps, even though he did. suggested expectations for upcoming numbers.

Next Tuesday, the official CPI data for February will be released. Previous estimates indicate that it would be at the levels of the previous month, i.e. around 6 percentage points. Two days later, data from the baskets that determine poverty and indigence levels will be released. And at the end of this month, the INDEC report will be ready. on poverty in the second half of last year.

In his reverie, CFK registers these indicators. He didn’t make names and he even avoided the corrosive phrases addressed to Olivos -perhaps, some like the repeated reference to the possibility of showing the messages on his mobile phone-, but nothing about his exposure to the University of Río Negro cannot be taken outside the internal logic nowadays.
