Cadiz, March 4 (EFE) – Cadiz announced this Saturday that it will go to ordinary justice for the resolution contrary to its interests in the “Elche case”.
The Administrative Court for Sport (TAD), notified the Cadiz club of a resolution by virtue of which it accepted to reject the appeal brought by this entity, against the Resolution of the RFEF Appeals Committee of February 9, 2023, it being understood that the request for repetition by the Cadiz-Elche match “is not of a disciplinary nature, which prevents it from being able to rule on the merits”, announced the Andalusian club in a press release.
Cadiz’s legal services “are analyzing the most convenient legal and procedural channel for filing a complaint before ordinary jurisdiction”, the statement adds.
Cadiz filed an appeal this week before the TAD to request the dispute of the match of the 17th day disputed against Elche (1-1), last January at Nuevo Mirandilla, and wishes that it be partially repeated, judging the decision “negligent “. refereeing action, “specifically by the referees in the VOR room”, who conceded their goal to the offside Elche team in the 81st minute.
For this reason, after receiving a negative resolution from the appeal committee, he filed a complaint with the TAD, even requesting the temporary suspension of the National League championship as a precautionary measure until the case is resolved, after having declared the disciplinary authorities of the RFEF “incompetent” on the request for recusal of the party.
In their letter, Cadiz insists the error is ‘manifest’ and ‘serious’ and that ‘potentially irreparable damage’ ensues for their team.
