AVONDALE, Arizona EE.UU. (AP) — William Byron won his second carrera seguida in the NASCAR Cup Series, tomando ventaja de un banderas amarillas tardías para darle al team Hendrick Motorsports una victoria en time extra en el autodromo de Phoenix, Sunday.

Byron’s #24 Chevy got off to a great start in overtime with two laps to go and, as it had a week earlier in Las Vegas, passed teammate Kyle Larson for the win. Additionally, he had to hold off Ryan Blaney who was second while Tyler Reddick was third.

Byron denied Kevin Harvick a chance for his 10th victory in Phoenix. The #4 Ford of Harvick Stewart-Haas passed Larson for the lead with 44 laps to go, taking advantage of a long stretch of green flag conditions that favored his car all afternoon.

But a warning with 10 laps to go ended Harvick’s hopes.
