A tourist bus accident left at least 21 dead in Paraná, a state in southern Brazil. The Military Police reported this Monday through a statement that they work together with the fire department on the highway of the city of Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná.
They pointed out that, according to information from the Fire Department, seven people are in a serious condition, four with moderate injuries and 19 in a mild state. They added that based on investigations carried out at the site, the bus, with the license plate of Pará, would have left the road and fell to the side. It carried 57 passengers and two drivers.
The governor of Pará Helder Barbalho said on Twitter that he received the news “with great sadness” and reported that he asked the Secretary of State for Security to contact those responsible for rescue tasks at the scene of the accident, to identify the victims and provide necessary support.
