There Colombian Navy intercepted a boat in which 21 foreigners were being transported through the bay of BuenaventuraValle del Cauca, in the Pacific Ocean.

At the time of the interception of the ship, named “Well done 2“, the agents were able to verify that the people transported were Asian, more precisely from India and China, and that they did not have the necessary documentation to remain inside the country.

The crew members, of Colombian nationality, were placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities, as indicated by Lieutenant Commander Juan David Rendón, Commander of the Buenaventura Coastguard Station. Likewise, the ship was escorted to the facilities of the National Navy and the foreigners were made available to Colombian migration carry out the corresponding procedures and determine why they were in the national territory.

In total, there were twelve people from India and nine of China. It should be mentioned that these two countries are the most populated in the world; In 2021, China had about 1,412 million people, while India had 1,408 million. This means that between them they represent more than a third of the world’s population.

The Colombian National Navy is in constant activity, especially in the Pacific Ocean and the port of Buenaventura. This was confirmed on February 25, when they were seized on the Naya River 300 kilos of cocaine that apparently belonged to the Farc dissidents.

According to the authorities’ report, members of the Marine Corps Units They discovered a boat with three crew members mobilizing in the Puerto Merisald area, who tried to escape when they noticed the presence of the authorities.

The commander of the infantry brigade of the Navy No. 2, Colonel Domingo Cantillo, reported that: “the Colombian Navy, in its armed effort of fluvial and maritime control over the sectors of the mouth of the Naya River, rural area of ​​Puerto Merisald, has succeeded to seize a boat with a supply of 300 rectangular packets that tested positive for cocaine.

During the inspection of the ship, soldiers found eight packages containing 300 kilograms of cocaine. Moreover, the commander of the infantry brigade assured that with the seizure, “we have prevented more than 10 million dollars from entering the residual organized armed group of structure 6, to which this merchandise belonged”, he added.

In this way, the boat and the drugs were transferred to the port of Buenaventura, where the authorities carried out the preliminary identification test, which turned out to be positive for cocaine hydrochloride.

So far in 2023, the Navy has seized 15,849 kilograms of cocaine in the Colombian Pacific.

Recall that, Thursday, February 23, the Navy seized 189.7 kg of cocaine hydrochloride in the Caribbean Sea during a joint operation with the air force. With this, the entry of approximately 6.4 million dollars into the coffers of criminal organizations was prevented.

In addition, on Tuesday, January 31, authorities seized over 390 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride which was hidden in a container containing export products and which would be destined for a port in Europe.

The operations were conducted by Navy units with members of the National Police. According to information, the confiscation of the substances represents losses of 23 million dollars for the organizations serving the drug trade.

Apparently, the substance seized belongs to a drug trafficking structure associated with the organized criminal group known as Conquistadors of the Sierrawho have criminal alliances within the ports and maritime terminals of the United States and Europe.

The cocaine hydrochloride was found in Santa Marta, when uniformed officers found 400 rectangular packets containing illegal substances, inside some boxes containing export products such as bananas.
