Elements of the Ministry of National Defense (sedena) and some National Guard assures more than 40 thousand doses of suspected cocaine as well as the case 30 long guns in the municipality of San Luis Río Colorado in Sonora.

Uniformed officers received information about a property located in the Residences of the colony in the aforementioned municipality, illegal activities are said to have taken place there. The authorities indicated that the confiscation of the equipment took place following intelligence jobs and inter-institutional coordination with the aim of prevent crime. However, the results were reported three days later.

Also Thursday, March 2 two people died in a shooting near the facilities of the Industrial and Services Technological Baccalaureate Center (CBTIS 37) in Cajeme, Sonora.

Initial reports said two people had died as a result of the shooting.

Faced with the acts of violence, the Secretary of Public Security (SSP) of the entity confirmed deathsalso reported that it was a direct attack and says that, despite the proximity of the educational center, no student was injured. Moreover, they pointed out that unit where the attackers moved, we found drugs, without specifying the nature or the amount. State police officers came to the scene to provide support and an investigation was opened.

Videos were shared on social media in which the loud bangs could be heard and students seen taking cover from the gunfire. In one of the recordings it was possible to see students running in a yard. While in another video a group of young people had to fall back on the ground before the shots.

Also, on social networks circulated the photo of a red vehicle with various gunshot wounds and shattered windows and according to local media, in said car the bodies would have remained people who died.

Also in Sonora they were captured members of the national guard allegedly snort cocaine. The security institution, headed by Luis Rodríguez Bucio launched an investigation to clarify the facts. The National Guardsmen have been identified and a toxicological test will be applied to confirm the type of substance they allegedly consumed.

“The Internal Affairs Unit has launched an investigation, identify to impliedto whom the toxicological evaluations correspondent, in order to implement the corresponding legal and administrative procedures,” the National Guard detailed in a statement.

Likewise, the National Guard has declared that this type of act is reprehensible and that the involved will be penalized in accordance with the law. It should be noted that the establishment did not confirm that its members had used a drug.
