Origin of nails

According to information from the Mexican government, the taco has its origins in the prehispanic cultures, the first story mentions that Moctezuma used tortillas to hold food, almost like the shape of a taco. The second story says that women sent food wrapped in tortillas to men when they went to work; however, back then they were not as well known as they are today.

One of the most accepted theories about the origin of the taco al pastor is that the recipe was created by foreign immigrants from the Asian continent, while others believe that this type of taco was born from the chawarma, a stew by the Lebanese. This traditional dish has lamb or muttonvinegar, Arabic bread and various spices.

Even if the tacos al pastor they are not 100% mexicanthe original recipe changed when lamb replaced pork and marinade, chili and achiote were added, resulting in the tacos we know today, which are undoubtedly some of the most delicious.
