Los Angeles (USA), 24 Feb. Klay Thompson signed an extraordinary performance this Friday with 12 hat-tricks for the Golden State Warriors to beat the Houston Rockets (116-101).

The guard finished his sensational recital on the perimeter with 42 points and 7 rebounds including a magnificent 12 of 17 from the line of three.

Interestingly, Thompson only attempted two two-pointers in the entire game and missed both.

The four-time champion with the Warriors holds the all-time record for most hat-tricks in an NBA game with 14 in 2018 against the Chicago Bulls.

On February 6, Thompson also hit 12 triples, this time in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With those two displays, Thompson became the first in the NBA to make at least 12 three-pointers in two games in the same season and the player who made more than 12 three-pointers in one game (three overall).

Zach LaVine and Stephen Curry are the only two players to make 13 3-pointers in a game in NBA history.

The gale of Thompson’s hat-trick allowed the Warriors, still without the injured Stephen Curry, to return to victory after falling Thursday in Los Angeles against the Lakers (124-111).

For the Rockets, the last team in the West with eight straight losses, the top scorer was Kenyon Martin Jr. with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Spaniard Usman Garuba had 2 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 13 minutes with Houston. ECE
