DiDi Mobility Japan (Android version / iOS version) announced on January 18 that it has completed a total of 5.2 billion yen in funding from Softbank and Didi Chuxing on January 15.

With this financing, we will strengthen synergies with SoftBank Group companies such as PayPay, improve the convenience of passenger movement, develop new products that improve the sales efficiency and sales of taxi operators, and taxi apps in Japan. We will make marketing investments to further penetrate the taxi industry and aim to provide new value to Japanese consumers and people in the taxi industry.

DiDi Mobility Japan was established in June 2018 with an investment from Softbank and Didi Chuxing with the aim of providing an innovative taxi dispatch platform service in collaboration with taxi operators and related ministries and agencies in Japan. The taxi dispatch service started in September 2018 in Osaka, and is currently being developed in 14 prefectures such as Hokkaido, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Okinawa.
