If you use WhatsApp on your iPhone, you will notice that the notifications that come in from the app all display the WhatsApp logo. This is unlike other messaging applications which sometimes display the profile picture of the sender of the message.
This is especially useful if you want to see who sent you a message at a glance rather than having to read the contents of the notification and sometimes go so far as to open the app.

The good news is that, according to a report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently testing showing the profile picture in notifications on iOS devices. This means that you should soon be able to more easily distinguish who sent you a message by recognizing their profile picture.
This could be especially handy if your smartphone is locked, but you still want to know who the message is from. From there, you can decide whether you want to respond right away or not.

That being said, as WABetaInfo points out, this functionality is currently in the testing phase. In other words, not everyone sees this change in notifications.
Only a few lucky beta testers are lucky enough to be able to take advantage of it. In fact, if you are not in the beta of WhatsApp for iOS, you will not be able to see the profile pictures of those who send you messages.
No one knows exactly when WhatsApp intends to roll out this new feature, but since this new feature has very little impact on the app, it shouldn’t take very long to arrive. A little more patience and everyone will certainly be entitled to it!
