The Giro d’Italia has confirmed its first tracks for the final route of the 2021 edition. This Thursday the organizers of the Corsa Rosa unveiled the route of the first three stages that will run through Piedmont and which will have its great start in Turin, in addition to bringing forward the end of the 19th stage and the start of the twentieth day.

The Giro will start with a 9-kilometer individual time, starting and finishing in Turin, running parallel to the Po River. For its part, the second stage is presented as the first occasion for the sprinters on a route of 173 kilometers between Stupingi and Novara. More traps will present the third stage, on a journey of 187 kilometers between Biella and Canale with the last 70 kilometers full of walls and climbs like the Bric delle Forche, Castino and Manera.

The Giro has also revealed clues to us about the predictable final fireworks in the Alps, since lThe nineteenth stage will end at the top of Alpe di Mera – Valsesia (10.1 kilometers at 8.5%) and the penultimate stage will start in Verbania, a municipality that was already the end of the stage in the 2015 Giro after ascending the demanding Monte Ologno. We will have to wait to see the entire route of a Giro d’Italia that, once again, aims to be a demanding test designed for climbers.
