Malik Hooker sent a 38-yard touchdown pass against his former team in a 33-point fourth quarter for Dallas , which propelled the Cowboys to a blowout 54-19 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Dallas led 21-19 early in the fourth quarter when Dak Prescott threw the last of his three touchdown passes. Hooker scored on the first of four Dallas scrambles in the quarter, all ending in touchdowns.

The Cowboys’ highest-scoring quarter (9-3) since at least 1991 was the third time in NFL history a team had scored 33 or more points in the fourth quarter.

Matt Ryan had his second and third interceptions and fumbled in a nightmare finale for the Colts (4-8-1), who fell to 1-3 under interim head coach Jeff Saturday and lost their sixth of seven games.

Ryan, who threw two touchdown passes, has turned over 18 turnovers this season to lead the NFL by a gap of three over Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen.

Michael Gallup caught two touchdown balls and CeeDee Lamb the other after rolling over Rodney McLeod Jr. and staying on his feet. The Cowboys remain two games behind NFL-leading Philadelphia in the NFC East.

Following Gallup’s second touchdown, Hooker grabbed a ball from tight end Mo Alie-Cox and ran unchallenged down the right wing to extend the lead to 34-19 early in the fourth quarter.

Hooker, the 15th overall pick by the Colts five years ago, had four injury-plagued seasons with the Colts before signing with the Cowboys during spring training last year.

Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott and rookie Malik Davis scored runs after the visitors’ final turnovers in the quarter.
