Devin Booker scored 28 points, Mikal Bridges added a season-high 26, and the Phoenix Suns erased a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Phoenix Spurs 115-110 on Sunday. San Antonio and baste his 10th win.

The Suns, who have the best record in the entire NBA, became the first team to reach 40 wins. The win also assured coach Monty Williams of leading Team LeBron in next month’s All-Star Game.

Booker hit back-to-back 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter to turn a two-point deficit into a 112-108 lead with 1:18 left. He was 12-for-24 from the field and 4-for-9 from 3-point range.

The Spurs led 91-79 after three periods, but the Suns erased the deficit in less than 3 1/2 minutes. They used a 14-point attack, in which Cam Johnson provided a spectacular one-handed dunk, to take a 96-93 lead.

The game remained tight until Booker’s two 3-pointers gave the Suns the lead for good.

Phoenix guard Chris Paul had another strong performance with 20 points, 19 assists and eight rebounds, just two nights after he reached 18 career triple-doubles. Bridges made 11 of 16 shots from the field.

Doug McDermott led San Antonio with 24 points, while Lonnie Walker IV added 22 off the bench.

The Spurs were without three starters, point guard Derrick White (rest), shooting guard Dejounte Murray (left knee) and center Jakob Poeltl (back).
