At eight o’clock on Friday night, March 19, the Germans, Alexander Zverev and Dominik Koepfer clashed in the stadium, after just over two hours and a score of 6-4, 7-6 (5), Zverev (23 years old and number seven in the ATP rankings) turned out to be the first finalist of the AMT after beating his compatriot.

And it is that, not even an earthquake of magnitude of 5.7 degrees, which occurred in the middle of the game, stopped the German, although Koepfer did not make it easy for him and was shown at all times as a very strong rival.

What do we know about Zverev?

Without a doubt, the German is one of the favorites of the Mexican Tennis Open, in fact, this will be his second final in the Beautiful Port, (remember that in 2019 he faced Nick Kyrgios, who turned out to be the champion). So this year, it could be the first time that the tennis player takes the victory.

The second match was held between the Greek, Stéfanos Tsisipás and the Italian, Lorenzo Musetti, eye, the first is number three in the world according to the ranking ATP and he is 22 years old while Lorenzo is 120 and he is only 19 years old.

Not for nothing, the young man from Italy conquered the Mexican public after game after game (after overcoming the qualys) reached the semifinal. Lorenzo’s effort was noticed on the court and he gave a fight to the Greek, however, Tsitsipás beat Musetti 6-1, 6-3.

Although the Italian was one step away from the grand final in previous interviews, he confessed that this week in Acapulco has been one of the most important and happy of his career.
