Anthony Rizzo returns to the New York Yankees lineup this Sunday for the series finale against Milwaukee in their first meeting since Aug. 31.

Rizzo has been on the disabled list due to headaches that occurred after an epidural injection in his lower back. On Sunday he will play first base and be second in the rotation behind Aaron Judge.

“Add this formidable lefty to the bat,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “He’s a leader on the field and he’s the anchor at first base. We will have one of our key pieces back.”

Rizzo has a .225 batting average with 30 home runs and 70 RBIs in 117 games.

Dominican outfielder Esteval Florial was traded to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
