Paris Saint Germain striker Neymar assured that “there are players who do not understand how (Lionel) Messi plays”, who, like Kylian Mbappé and him, “are always judged by performance, statistics and titles won”.
The Brazilian star analyzed Messi’s first year at PSG and opined: “Leo spent many years in Barcelona and it is difficult to adapt to changing teams and cities. In addition, the language is also different. It’s a lot of confusing things.”
The attacker explained to “Canal +” that “there is also the team’s style of play, with players who don’t understand how Messi plays. So all of that is detrimental. Leo, Kylian and I are players who are always judged on performance, stats, titles won, everything.”
The continuity of Neymar at PSG is still unknown since despite having a valid contract until 2025, the Paris club “is willing” to put him up for sale, although the very high record (about 40 million euros a year) “makes it difficult ” his departure, highlights the Mundo Deportivo newspaper today.
Regarding Mbappé and the renewal of his contract with the Parisian team, Neymar said: “I was very happy that Kylian decided to stay. I think that the PSG project is the right one for his career and hopefully he can win a Champions League in his country, with the team from his city”.
