The Betis coach, the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, has pointed out the striker Loren Morón and the Mexican midfielder Diego Lainez as the first discards for the coming campaign, since they will not participate in the concentration next week’s pre-season training camp in Burton-on-Trent (UK).

Pellegrini has not included Loren or Lainez in the call for the friendly that Betis plays this Saturday in Eindhoven (Netherlands) against PSV before traveling to England on Monday, where the Betis squad will hold a one-week training camp that includes two friendlies against Olympique de Marseille and Brentford.

This discard seems to definitively seal the fate of Mexican international Diego Lainez at Betis, for whom the Sevillian club paid América 14 million euros in exchange for 75% of his pass in January 2019 and who, in three and a half seasons, has played 72 official matches in which he has scored 4 goals.

22 years old, Olympic medalist with Mexico in Tokyo 2020 and absolute international with the ‘Tri’ on 17 occasions, the player from Tabasco also has Spanish nationality and two more seasons of contract with Betis, until June 2024, so the verdiblanca sports management works to transfer it to a destination where it can be revalued.

The case of Loren Morón, 28 years old and also contracted until 2024, is different since the Marbella striker already played on loan last season at Espanyol (with little luck, as he scored 3 goals in 25 league games) and will negotiate the Disassociation from Betis to sign for another team as a free agent.

Central defenders Marc Bartra and Víctor Ruiz, right-handed inside player Aitor Ruibal and midfielder Víctor Camarasa are also not part of the 24-player list for the match against PSV, but it is due to injuries of various kinds and they will return to work at Burton- on Trent.
