Lionel Messi spoke to Paris Saint-Germain’s official website ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League round of 16 second leg against Bayern Munich in Germany.

The French team lost 1-0 in the first leg at the Parc des Princes, but the Argentine striker pointed out that Christophe Galtier’s team improved in their last few games and is confident that they can reverse the series with a victory at the Allianz Arena.

“It’s important to come into the match like this (after three wins). Before that, we weren’t in the best shape we’ve been in this season. I think we got important victories to strengthen the team ahead of Munich. It will be a very close and difficult match, which will be decided by small details,” said the captain of the Argentine national team.

He added: “It is also very difficult to win in Munich, but I think we are well prepared. We are capable of changing the situation. I feel very good. I think the team has changed in the last few games. We have a different face, a different dynamic.”

“We have great hope to continue our path in the Champions League. We will do everything we can to try to turn the situation around against Bayern and get through the round, which is everyone’s goal,” Messi completed.

PSG confirmed its roster for Wednesday’s clash against Bayern Munich with the presence of Messi and Kylian Mbappé, but it was confirmed that Neymar will not play for the rest of the season due to surgery on his right ankle.
