Sassuolo ‘s managing director , Giovanni Carnevali , stated that Juventus is in competition with Napoli to try to sign Giacomo Raspadori and that “anything can happen” before the market closes.

The 22-year-old striker has just under two years left on his contract with Sassuolo and all indications are that Napoli are the favorites to fire him, while interest from the Vecchia Signora has cooled in recent days.

Sassuolo sold striker Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham last week for €36m, and appears poised to lose another prized asset. “For Giacomo there are the eyes of Napoli and Juventus,” Carnevali said.

And he added: “It is clear that the transfer market is still long and anything can happen, but it is also true that our idea is to close the negotiation in a few days to concentrate on the championship. The objective is to empower young people, such as Gianluca Scamacca and his arrival in the Premier League is a fantastic recognition.”

Raspadori scored a dozen goals and provided five assists for Sassuolo in Serie A last season and was part of the Italian National Team that won Euro 2020.
