ATLANTA – Jalen Johnson totaled 22 points and 13 rebounds for an Atlanta Hawks that never trailed after scoring the game’s first 12 points and rolled over the Utah Jazz 124-97 on Tuesday.
The Hawks have won two straight games after losing star point guard Trae Young for at least four weeks with a torn ligament in the little finger of his left hand. Dejounte Murray, who has assumed the responsibility of driving the ball, finished with 17 points and 11 assists.
De’Andre Hunter scored 20 points, while Bogdan Bogdanovic netted 19 as part of a well-spread Atlanta attack.
Collin Sexton led Utah with 22 points, Walker Kessler tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds, but the Jazz suffered their sixth loss in their last seven games.
John Collins scored just five points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his first appearance for Atlanta since being traded to the Jazz on June 26, 2023.
