This week the agreement to renew the Aragonese circuit of Motorland Aragón with Dorna Sports has been made official to continue hosting the Aragón GP of the MotoGP World Championship during the 2022-2026 period .

The extension of said union, signed by the President of Motorland ,  Arturo Aliaga , and the CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta , ensures the celebration of a minimum of three GPs during the next five years. In fact, it de facto ensures the celebration of the GP Aragón 2022 , which will be held from September 16 to 18 on the Aragonese circuit. From then on, it could alternate with other circuits in our territory – Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit , Ricardo Tormo Circuit or Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit – until 2026 ., last year of the contract, but always maintaining a minimum of three editions in the period from 2022 to 2026 .

Thus, Motorland Aragón will continue to see the MotoGP riders during the next five years; until 2026 .

Arturo Aliaga (Presidente de Motorland):

“This signing is an unequivocal sign of the Aragon Government’s commitment to Motorland Aragón. We cannot forget that it is a circuit that enjoys great international prestige and extensive experience in organizing this type of event. And we must go further, because the celebration of these GGPP has a significant impact. In addition, it represents an enormous boost both in the territory and in economic activity; and projects the image of Aragon throughout the world”.

Carmelo Ezpeleta (CEO of Dorna Sports):

“We are delighted to be in Aragón. In the two very difficult years that we have gone through, the presence of Aragón and its help to do the two GPs of 2020 and the 2021 GP, has been very important to be able to move forward”.

“We will be in Aragón for as long as Aragón wants. We would like to be in Aragón always”.
