Egypt asked to delay the Africa Cup final

The assistant coach of the Egyptian National Team, Diaa Al-Sayed, asked to delay the Africa Cup final, explaining that his country had one day less rest compared to Senegal.

After its victory this Thursday in the penalty shootout of the African Cup semi-finals against Cameroon , the Egyptian National Team, through its second coach, Diaa Al-Sayed , asked the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to postpone the final of the tournament from Sunday to Monday.

The final will face his team against Senegal , which has “one more day of recovery”, since it played its semifinal against Burkina Faso on Wednesday, so it will arrive with less rest time.

I ask CAF that the final be played on Monday “, said Al-Sayed, according to ‘BBC’, at the end of his team’s match against Cameroon.

He was the one who appeared before the media because the head coach, Carlos Queiroz , was sent off in Thursday’s match against Cameroon , which was decided on penalties after 0-0 in the first 90 minutes and in the subsequent extra time.
