The Nantes coach today defended the salaries of the players (before a hypothetical reduction of 30%), putting Neymar as an example, of which he affirmed that half of his salary goes to pay hospitals, schools and multiple public services.

“We can talk that we have excessive salaries in the world of football. The salaries of the players go mostly to the state. There are some players whose three-quarters go to the state. Neymar, for example, half of his salary is shared between our hospitals, our schools and everything else. It can not forget”

At the moment, the LFP is negotiating with the Footballers’ Union (UNFP) a 30% salary cut for all Ligue 1 players. The breaking of the television rights contract by Mediapro and also by Canal Plus have forced French football to cut costs to try to alleviate an unprecedented economic crisis.
