The Cleveland Browns plan to continue betting on Baker Mayfield for the 2022-23 season. Despite rumors that the team would be considering turning the page with the quarterback for his performance this season, everything indicates that they will give him another chance.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Mayfield and head coach Kevin Stefanski are on the same page, leaving behind rumors of their bad relationship.
The #Browns are moving forward with Baker Mayfield as their starting QB, with the parties on the same page heading into the offseason, sources say.

Mayfield said goodbye to the 2021-22 season with 3,010 yards, 17 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and 60.5% pass completions. The quarterback will undergo shoulder surgery and there are many doubts regarding his future, knowing that he has a year left on his rookie contract.
Mayfield has not been the quarterback that the Browns expected since they took him in the draft and after the surgery and his performance of the last 4 years the board should think about turning the page and looking for a replacement for the future.
