The Mexican-American boxer has learned from his mistakes in the past and now has his mind set on returning to the limelight.

Andy Ruiz has had ups and downs in his career as a professional boxer. In 2019 he tasted glory by becoming world heavyweight champion after breaking pools and defeating Anthony Joshua , however, months later he would lose his belts in the rematch against the British boxer.

After a long absence from boxing , Andy joined the ranks of the Canelo Team to return to his best version and the results have been seen gradually. Ruiz beat Chris Arreola last May, but now his ambitions are full and he will look to fight again for the belts in his category.

“I don’t want to make the same mistake that I made in my last fight with Anthony Joshua, in the second. My mind is focused on recovering the belts, “ said ‘Destroyer’ in an interview with Fighthype.

Andy Ruiz would fight in December

Andy Ruiz’s short-term task is to find a rival for December and slowly make his way again in his beltline aspirations. Ruiz noted that Charles Martin and Luis Ortiz are some options, although there is nothing concrete for now.

“There are some fighters out there to get back in the rankings. Sure, I’m in the rankings, but I have to keep busy and active. That is why I am back in the gym and that is the reason why after surgery, I went back to the gym to prepare, “he concluded.
