Australia’s Immigration Minister is using his ministerial discretion to once again cancel Novak Djokovic ‘s visa . Alex Hawke ‘s decision gives way to the deportation process of the number one tennis player in the world. If Djokovic is deported he would face a 3-year ban from entering the country .

This is the second time his visa has been suspended after his passport was revoked by Australian authorities for not being vaccinated or presenting a valid medical exemption .

Novak Djokovic spent four nights in a hotel before an Australian judge overturned the first reversal . After which the tennis player admitted mistakes . He noted that he falsely stated to Australian authorities that he had not traveled in the last 14 days or that he conducted an interview with a French newspaper when he knew he was sick with COVID-19 .

Djokovic ‘s lawyers will be able to appeal the cancellation in court as they did the first time, which leaves the tennis player’s participation in the Australian Open, which begins next Monday, up in the air.
