The Witcher Season 2 – Netflix unveils new trailer
“I brought her here (to Kaer Morhen) to be safe” thus affirms the hero with the white hair in the new trailer, while evoking Cirilla. As we already knew, a big part of the season will be devoted to the evolution of the young girl and to the mastery of her powers. But this sequel will also be an opportunity to find the magicians Yennefer and Fringilla, visibly captured following the confrontation against the Empire of Nilfgaard. As with the first season, The Witcher series is expected to alternate between different stories and points of view, but in a much more linear order.
Ciri and Nivellen in the spotlight
As for unpublished extracts, the first reveals Geralt on the lookout for a Brouxe – a superior vampire – while young Cirilla rests. The witcher therefore goes in search of the monster, asking his apprentice to flee. The video is not particularly talkative, but allows you to appreciate the atmosphere of the series for a good minute. On the hunt, Geralt walks step by step down a dark hallway as the music fades, giving way to the creature’s threatening noises. Chills in perspective.
For the second extract, it’s a discussion scene between the White Wolf and Nivellen, beast-like cursed man who lives in an isolated mansion, and that fans of the license have already had the opportunity to see in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A character played by Kristofer Hivju, alias Tormond Giantsbane in Game of Thrones, hidden under a large make-up and undoubtedly some special effects. The video allows you to see its transformation in real time. “Does the girl know the truth?” Nivellen then asks the witcher. Ciri’s training will impose magical but no doubt also personal challenges on Geralt.
