Head of Ngenep Village, Suwardi, was disabled by BPD Ngenep on Monday afternoon
After receiving pressure from hundreds of residents, the Head of Ngenep Village, Suwardi, was disabled by BPD Ngenep on Monday afternoon (16/11). The decree of the deactivation was decided immediately after hundreds of residents rallied in the courtyard of the Ngenep Karangploso Village Hall, Malang Regency.
The decision was read by a member of the BPD Ngenep, Suwardi, after holding a special meeting and signed by eight BPD members with a stamp. Protesters welcomed the decision with cheers.
Member of BPD Ngenep, Suwardi said, BPD must hold a special meeting to immediately decide so it does not drag on. So that if it is allowed to drag on, it will have a negative impact on the village development program.
“With all the powers they have, the BPD will deactivate the Head of Ngenep Village, Suwardi,” said a BPD member, Suwardi, as reported by globelivemedia.com
This deactivation is also so that the village head who is caught in an immoral legal case at the Batu Police, can concentrate on the legal process he is going through. “The main demands of residents are due to immoral cases which are considered morally flawed. You can’t imagine having a leader like this, “said Suwardi.
Apart from being immoral, Suwardi has also been questioned by the Malang District Prosecutor’s Office regarding the alleged deviation from the budget for car procurement and the construction of a sports field. “The results of BPD’s decision will be recommended to Karangploso District and Malang Regency Government. Deactivation until there is a permanent legal decision,” he added.
One of the protesters, Imron Rosyadi, admitted that there was already a bright spot in the decision that represented the wishes of the residents. According to him the peak of residents’ unrest was because the village head was accused of committing immoral acts against his household assistant (ART) with the initials S.
“Please the village head to argue because that is his right. However, there is evidence that can be answered through a legal process,” said Imam.
The legal process for this immoral case has entered the SPDP stage at the Batu City District Prosecutor’s Office. This legal case was handled by Batu Police on 4 November.
The case of immoral acts committed by Suwardi against the woman with the initials S is an accumulation of the residents’ anger. Thus demanding that Suwardi resign from his position as Head of Ngenep Village.
In addition, hundreds of protesters alluded to other irregularities during Suwardi’s tenure. The allegations of irregularities include manipulation of the procurement price of cars purchased from DD 2020. Another allegation is corruption in the bulldozer rental budget for the construction of a soccer field.
According to residents, the heavy equipment was assisted free of charge by the developer. However, the village head included it as a lease in the village financial report.
