The artist would be willing to play the character of her mother in the biopic about the life of ‘the queen of the rancheras’
There, in Mexico, where her mother was consecrated as ‘the queen of the rancheras’, Shaila also found popular recognition as a singer, and is considered his natural heir, showing that her voice does not detract from that of the great Rocio durcal, the highest praise for a daughter that she adored and admired her mother.
In fact, she usually posts messages and videos on her social networks that remember her mother, such as the one in which they appeared together singing the song “The last coffee”, with a very significant text: “those moments that will never return but that I keep in the bottom of my heart. I miss you and I love you, mom.”
The future biopic is not the first to be dedicated to Rocío Dúrcal. In 2011 we were able to see on Tele 5 the mini series “Marieta” (that’s what her intimates called the artist) in which Norma Ruiz played Rocío and Josep Linuesa to her husband Junior.
Initially, Carmen Morale, the eldest daughter of Dúrcal, was going to star in that production, putting her in the shoes of her mother, but, finally, she withdrew from the project.
