Neymar Jr. got rid of the accusations for alleged fraud in his transfer to FC Barcelona in which they asked for $ 10 million dollars and 2 years in jail
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has withdrawn this Friday all the accusations against the player and former Blaugrana president Sandro Rosell for the allegedly fraudulent signing of the footballer Neymar da Silva by FC Barcelona during the trial that is being held in the Sixth Section of the Court of the Catalan capital .
In his conclusions, the prosecutor Luis García Cantón has decided to withdraw the accusation against former FC Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, for whom he initially requested 5 years in prison and a $10 million fine, and against Neymar himself, for whom he requested 2 years in prison and a $10 million fine for a crime of corruption in business.
And also for Neymar da Silva senior and Nadine Gonçalves, parents of the player and administrators of the family representation company N & N Consultoria Esportiva, for whom he requested 2 years and 1 year in prison, respectively, for two crimes of corruption in business .
It has also withdrawn the charges against the former leader of Santos Odilio Rodrigues, for whom he requested 3 years in prison for a crime of fraud.
The transfer of Neymar has been going through a legal process for years, with several open fronts that have caused numerous legal and financial problems for FC Barcelona.
The case addressed by the Barcelona Court is called “Neymar 2”, since “Neymar 1” culminated in a consent agreement in the judicial field for which Barça paid 5.5 million euros and was sentenced for two tax crimes.
That sentence of conformity made Barça the first football team condemned as a legal person. That pact with the Prosecutor’s Office allowed the then president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and his predecessor, Sandro Rosell, to be exonerated from criminal liability.
