After Bad Bunny was in the eye of the storm for the way he appeared in one of his concerts, Pepe Aguilar did not hesitate to support the reguetonero.
On February 21, when Bad Bunny performed at the Delta Center in Utah, in the United States, as part of his Most Wanted Tour, he appeared on stage riding a horse. This action was disqualified by Peta, who assured that the “horse looks stressed and clearly does not want to be there”. The urban music representative also received criticism from the public for the same reason.
In response, Pepe Aguilar, who is known for having a show where he uses horses, a tradition that comes from his father Antonio Aguilar, came to the singer’s defense. “About Bad Bunny I think that he should not have done it because he does not know how to ride and he looked bad and he put a horse, God knows what,” said the singer on Radio Fórmula.
“The horse didn’t get nervous, he was calmer than the four of us right now. Peta’s people, with all due respect, have to know what to get into because that horse was not in any trouble. Did they get into the horse’s head to feel the nerves it was feeling because of the smoke, the air and the sand it was in at that moment? Please, man. Don’t clown around,” he warned. “Bad Bunny has a problem because he doesn’t know how to ride and he looked lousy. The only one who was at risk there was him, there was no one else at risk but him.”
Aguilar made it clear that equines are a kind of home. “I don’t know any Peta member who talks to the horses and says ‘this horse feels this.’ I don’t know, I really don’t think so,” he emphasized.
“I have nothing against Peta, one hundred percent in favor of Peta, nothing more than that sometimes they go too far. On the other hand, the horses we have are better treated than my children,” he explained. “If they were not treated like that and lived alone or freely, they would die after 15 days, because they are made to be cared for in a stable by professional people, the breed is made for that. What you have to do is to know before giving your opinion”.
Pepe Aguilar, who has great experience in this matter, gave an explanation that could put an end to the controversy caused by Bad Bunny.
