Martin Tetaz, economist and deputy of Juntos por el Cambio, spoke this Thursday referred to the publication of his photo holding his nose: “It is to synthesize the problem of representation that has a lot of people who went last Sunday to the darkroom without finding their candidate and having to choose the least bad”.
“A lot of people told us that we had to hold our nose and vote for the least bad. There are many people who are not happy with either Milei or Massa and are orphaned of political representation”, he said in Los Primeros de la Tarde with Adrián Puente.
The congressman said that “in the National Congress is where the difference between a block that will start to increase Milei and another space that will be confined with the figure of Kicilof in the province of Buenos Aires will be noticed”.
“There are many people who feel neither Kirchnerist nor Milei’s and that representation that is going to be given in Congress is what that picture represents”, he explained.
For Tetaz, the coexistence in Congress will be defined when the new authorities of the Chamber are announced: “Knowing who will be behind Victoria Villarruel in the Senate Chamber will give you an idea of how far Milei can capture his political support base”.
“On the other hand, we have to see how the rest of the blocks are defined”, he indicated.
Regarding the government transition until Milei takes office, he said: “There is a lot of uncertainty and Milei still does not want to give any economic details so that everything that happens between now and December 10 will be billed to the government and not to him”.
“If Milei manages to stabilize the economy quickly, he will do well, but if he wastes a lot of time, I think he will do badly”, he concluded.
