Kate del Castillo joins the list of celebrities who were infected with coronavirus (COVID-19). The actress confirmed the news through a message spread on her social networks, where she also said that she is undergoing quarantine with one of her best friends, the journalist Jessica Maldonado as well, who was also infected with the virus.

“Yes. We tested positive for COVID-19. In recovery. It is a blessing to be with my best friend Jessica Maldonado and Loladel Castillo who has also caught the virus (my pet, how funny, eh). We stay super strong!”, the Mexican actress wrote on her social network where she has more than 8 million followers.

As expected, her followers took to the comments to leave her encouraging messages and wished her speedy recovery.

Kate del Castillo and Jessica Maldonado maintain a consolidated friendship. Both have known each other since 2019, and host the podcast “Neteando”, which has a couple of seasons available on social networks, therefore, it is not uncommon for them to have contracted COVID-19 at the same time.
