Rocker Jon Bon Jovi tested positive for covid-19 and could not participate in a concert with his band this Saturday at a Miami Beach hotel, local channel 7News reported.
Before the start of the concert at Loews South Beach, a person announced that the singer was not going to go on stage because the COVID-19 test came back positive, but that his band was going to perform as planned.
“Jon feels good, but he goes straight to bed,” said the spokesman briefly, who assured that none of the other musicians tested positive in the rapid tests carried out before the performance.
7News showed a video in which the famous rocker is seen leaving the hotel surrounded by other people and getting into a luxurious car driven by the man who spoke to the concert goers.
Jon Bon Jovi, 59, is an American musician, actor, songwriter, philanthropist, and record producer, best known for being the lead singer and frontman of the rock band Bon Jovi.
Since 2009 he has been a member of the prestigious Hall of Fame for composers.
According to various media, the singer is vaccinated against covid-19 and has no symptoms.
From Friday to Sunday included, the Loews Hotel had scheduled “intimate acoustic performances” by Bon Jovi and his band, which the public could only attend if they presented a vaccination certificate or recent negative test. (I)
