Carolina Gaitán resembles her character, to whom she is grateful for the opportunity to continue diversifying, as also happened with Pepa Madrigal in the animated film already available on Disney +: “At this moment in my career, very nice things are happening.”
“Being in a country like Mexico I love so much and I always come because I always enjoy it a lot, Charm in Hollywood; it is when you begin to realize that you can get out of the conventional, out of your comfort zone and reach other places, through what you do, the stories and the characters you play,” she says.
Confidant, friend and colleague
Carolina Gaitán also enjoyed sharing the set with Urrego, with whom she has already worked and tells us about one of the funniest moments during the recordings:
“There is a scene in which she (Lola) has to approach the character played by Juan Pablo and out of nowhere, she goes and throws herself at him (to kiss him, she narrates with a laugh).”
At that moment she managed to surprise her colleague with her dedication: “We hardly rehearsed anymore, especially when they are kisses, and in this passion, I remember that he himself as an actor and character, were both surprised, inside I laughed because the scene was not going to stop for the world.”
Carolina shares that her take “was very interesting, and with him there is a lot of camaraderie, we have many productions together, so every time we meet on set, being so different characters, there is a fantastic magic and I think the viewer also sees it “.
Before saying goodbye, the actress accepts that what she has done so far on the screen has a purpose: “People who have sensitivity to art, who are performers and tell stories, we want there to be a reflection behind it. I find it beautiful, to generate empathy with such distant stories from which we live”.
