Caio Castro speaks out after suffering an accident in the Truck Cup: ‘It’s better with emotion’
The actor, who is currently starring in ‘Todas as Flores’, said that after the crash, his vehicle was repaired and he went after the podium
Caio Castro spoke out on social media on Saturday (14) after suffering an accident while training to race in the Truck Cup. First, he shared images of the Mercedes-Benz #22 he was driving at the time of the crash and explained: “They fixed the brute in a few hours”. Then he made it clear that he was fine: “Crashed? It did. But we went after the podium”. In Stage 7, he came third. “It’s better with emotion,” he said.
The accident happened at the Autódromo Internacional de Tarumã, located in Viamão, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. At the start of the warm-up, the artist, who is part of the ASG Motorsport team, lost control of the car and hit the tire barrier. He was not injured and walked away from the vehicle after the accident.
The official Copa Truck profile posted on social media that in the first few minutes of practice, Caio “climbed the Tala Larga hill” when he lost control of the car. Afterwards, images of the driver were released: “All is well with Caio Castro”. Due to the accident, the track had to be cleared and this delayed the racing schedule.
The actor is currently starring in Todas as Flores, a Globoplay soap opera that was a success on streaming and is now being shown on free-to-air TV at 11pm. In the plot, Caio plays Pablo.
