Police find his ex-girlfriend with another woman and shoot them in a Brooklyn house; one died

An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested this afternoon, after she shot at who is presumed to be his ex-girlfriend and another woman , with whom he found her in a Brooklyn home.

Yvonne Wu, 31, is the officer who opened fire on the couple at the home of his alleged ex-girlfriend in Bensonhurst around 5 in the afternoon; apparently, Wu was waiting for them inside the house.

The off-duty officer shot and killed 24-year-old Jamie Liang, and did the same against another 23-year-old woman, however, the latter could survive the attack, New York Police Deputy Chief Michael Kemper said in a press conference.

A New York Police officer was arrested after she shot at who is presumed to be his ex-girlfriend and another woman, with whom he found her in a Brooklyn house.

Inside the home, officers, who responded to the emergency call, found Jamie Liang, lying on the living room floor with at least one shot to the chest, Kemper said.

On the other hand, Wu’s 23-year-old alleged ex-girlfriend was found lying on the floor of a bedroom with a gunshot wound to the torso; both women were taken to the Maimonides Medical Center, where Liang later died.

The other woman arrived at the hospital in serious but stable condition, so she is expected to survive; Officer Yvonne Wu is in police custody at a local hospital where she was being evaluated .

Michael Kemper added that it is not clear how Wu entered the home, however detectives are investigating whether he entered the property illegally.
