When a Texas woman noticed a dog wandering alone in the cold, she used what she had on hand to try to rescue it: tortillas.
Kristin Salinas said she got off work early Thursday and went shopping for tortillas before heading home. On the way, she spotted the canine on a San Antonio highway.
The woman stopped the car and tried to put the dog in her car, but he did not want to. “I put a little tortillas in the bag and he jumped in the car,” Salinas said.
It took the woman about 30 minutes to get the dog into her car.
Salinas said she will take him home to warm up a bit. Then she will take him to a shelter to recover and be adopted.
