Wildfires bring Huge Power Outrage in California on Thursday

Globe Live Media, Oct.16- In the US state of California, where wildfires have been wreaking havoc for a long time, a more severe wildfire caused a huge power outage, causing people to remain in darkness on Thursday.

Thousands of people remained without power in the northern region of California on Thursday as an autumn heatwave worsened the fire.

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) stopped providing electricity to about 50,000 People from Wednesday evening.
About 100,000 people of the 24 counties that mainly consisted of the foothills of Sierra Nevada and the bay area of San Francisco, remained without electricity.
Along with all this, in the homes of around 20,000 people, there was a possibility of not getting electricity on Thursday evening.

There was still no electricity in the homes of around 10,000 People on Friday Morning, PG&E however began reinstating the Power after the autumn heatwave started quietening down.

The Power Outage is forecasted to last till evening of Friday.

With more than 8,500 wildfires burning all over the state of California since the beginning of the year, 4,267,386 acres of land has burnt so far.

California’s wildfires have killed 31 People so far, and more than 9,200 buildings have been ravaged so far.
